📚 New (Used) Book Haul
In a continued effort to sabotage myself and my "don't buy more books until you read more of the ones you own" rule, I have ordered eight books. 😅 They're all by my favorite author, Barbara Hambly.
I decided I wanted a display copy of Dragonsbane with the original cover I fell in love with. Seriously, I follow the artist's account on mastodon1. I already own a paperback copy of this book, but thought it would be nice to display this one. Some people say collecting and reading books are two different hobbies, and I guess this is the closest I'll be to that, as my general goal is to read everything I own.
But while I was looking at the eBay listings for the book, I saw some single listings for Dragonsbane anywhere from $5 to $10... But, I could also order other lots and get more books. I found this one of eight, the only one I've already read being Dragonsbane itself, for only $20 before shipping. So a good deal.
I always enjoy reading Hambly's work and have been wanting to get some of these as it was. So very excited! There's a few missing from the series here, so I'll have to fill those in later, but no rush. I want to get to some of my other 2025 reads before stepping into these. Right now I'm reading Other Birds by Sarah Allen and really enjoying it.
